	CHALLENGE:Redesign an existing book from the Art or Photography section at UH Library.
	SOLUTION:&#38;nbsp;
This is a redesign of a photography book: Airborne Camera. The book highlights the history of photographing from air and outer space. Its content however, was hidden under a dull cover and text-heavy layout and as a result did not garner much readership (evidenced by the library’s record). 
This new design aims to elevate the reading experience by adding not only colour but, to translate the content into the form of the book itself. The typefaces, layout and materials place an emphasis on the idea of being light/airborne. It takes the audience into a journey higher into the atmosphere. Small ideas such as the use of tracing paper and the subtle shift in page numbers as you progress is also injected into the design.

	CHALLENGE:Reimagine a physical space of your choosing then create an exciting, relevant visual identity to communicate this change.
WHITE LION SQUARE:
Constructed in the 1960s, White Lion Square was originally designed to be the community’s social hub. Despite its recent renovation in 2019, the square was mainly neglected as a backdrop of the town.


	SOLUTION:&#38;nbsp;


White Lion is a rebranding of the square with its greater legacy to create a community where university students can interact with and feel welcomed in the community. It transforms the square into a space for students to represent their skills &#38;amp; talents through workshops and social events. The brand directs the appeal towards students as well as young residents of Hatfield in hopes to promote higher education pathway and/or encourage them to partake in new interests.

	CHALLENGE:


Create excitement for non-English language content amongst 18-34 year old entertainment lovers based all around the UK, and leverage this as a conversation driver among fans of entertainment.


Develop a campaign that gets more UK audiences to consider, explore, try watching and talk about non-English language films and series on Netflix.


	SOLUTION:&#38;nbsp;


Plot Twist is a campaign aim to 
promote people from the UK to indulge 
in non-English content by pairing countries together and share their 
top recommendations from the 
partnered country.


As viewer becoming increasingly reliant
on Netflix’s algorithm, their recommendations are consist of the same narrative therefore foreign entertainment could not penetrated to their feed. The campaign pushes for an exchange of entertainment and build a sense of community.

CHALLENGE:


Create a campaign aimed at people in the UK to raise awareness of police brutality towards youth activists in Thailand.&#38;nbsp;
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THAILAND?:


The dissatisfaction of youths in Thailand has been catalysing since the 2006 coup which led to a military takeover in 2014. The pandemic and the 2019 election proved to be pivotal points for students to take a stand. However, the government continues to ignore the demands of young activists and attempts to halt their actions through emergency decrees and resorting to brutality — water cannons &#38;amp; rubber bullets.

	
SOLUTION:&#38;nbsp;


Indelible is a campaign that exists to raise awareness of the lethality of water cannons while relaying the political tensions in Thailand to UK audiences.


Aiming to garner support from the 18 – 34 demographic, the campaign speaks on behalf of brave protesters; share their burden, frustration and motivate them to continue on with the fight for democracy.


The visual language aims to be impactful through provocative images, its stylisation and visual motif.


Water bottle and coaster were also branded to create a secondary campaign to increase campaign’s visibility.
